The Beyond Linux From Scratch (BLFS) project has announced the first release candidate of BLFS 6.2.0: "The BLFS Development team is proud to announce the release of the 6.2.0-rc1 version of BLFS. This is a release candidate of the 6.2.0 version, due to be released on February 14th. You can view the 6.2.0-rc1 version on your local mirror. For additional information about the release, along with other download and format options, see the 6.2.0 Release Notes." BLFS 6.2.0 is a book that extends the original Linux From Scratch 6.2 by adding a graphical subsystem (X.Org 7.1) and a variety of graphical and server software, such as KDE 3.5.6, GNOME 2.14.3, Firefox 1.5.0.9, OpenOffice.org 2.0.3, Apache 2.2.2, etc. For more information please read the release announcement on the project's news page.
